We shape dialogue processes that focus on future options of development policy. These processes make a substantial contribution to agenda setting in this political field.
Starting 35 years ago, we have been working for several Federal German ministries, and currently for the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Technically, we are a unit of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. While we are headquartered in Berlin and Bonn, our events are held across the globe.
Professional
We shape multi-stakeholder dialogues in the political arena. We bring together the right national and international decision-makers and experts from the fields of politics, business, civil society and the scientific community. We build networks and partnerships. Our events promote specialised and personal dialogue between international actors and German partners – contacts are made and trust is developed. This is how we generate new ways of thinking and new ideas – at the right time and in the right place.
Innovative
We provide advisory services, develop solutions and implement them. We create unique dialogue events using a one-stop shop format. This format combines effective methods with political intuition. Our work is based on many years of experience, excellent partnerships and international reputation. This creates a platform for vivid and constructive dialogue. As an add-on, we publish Digital Development Debates which go beyond these physical events to support exchange in the digital world.
Sustainable
We position German development policy. Our dialogue events highlight topical issues of sustainable development, issues that will define the national and international agenda in the years ahead. In this way, our events significantly influence and help shape national and international policy.
