The GIZ and the Development Policy Forum
The Development Policy Forum is a division of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. As a federal enterprise, the GIZ supports the German government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.
The GIZ is represented by over 17,000 employees working in 130 countries on numerous projects in diverse fields ranging from government consultancy, and management, and logistics services to mediation in sensitive contexts. The Development Policy Forum can access this highly professional local, regional and international expertise for the benefit of its clients.
The Development Policy Forum’s events also provide a platform where the GIZ can present and position itself. Experts from the GIZ often play active roles here, as moderators, for example. GIZ staff also assist with preparation, giving them an opportunity to share their knowledge and skills.
As a division of the GIZ, the Development Policy Forum is committed to the GIZ’s mission statement, and adheres to it whenever possible, such as through sustainable event management.

We believe that only by combining social responsibility, ecological balance, political participation and economic capability will current and future generations be able to lead secure and dignified lives.

- support the rule of law and civic participation and are committed to ensuring fair negotiation processes, both within and outside the company;
- promote a market-oriented, ecological and social economic order and observe the principles of corporate responsibility in our work.
